Manhunter ตัวนี้เป็นผลลัพท์จากการฝึกเพ้นสีผิวเนื้อคนในเอนทรี่ที่แล้ว Arco Flagellants ตัวโมเดลจริงๆ เป็นโมเดลที่ไม่ได้ชอบมาก ถ้าเทียบกับตัวอื่นๆ แต่พอเริ่มเพ้นมินิมาเรื่อยๆ ก็คิดว่าเป็นโมเดลที่ปั้นมาได้สวย และน่าจะเป็นโมเดลที่ใช้วัดพื้นฐานการเพ้นได้ดีตัวนึง
Manhunter skin was a result of skin practice of previous work – Arco Flagellants. I actually didn’t like him much compare to other KDM model. But once I start painting minis. I Think he is a good sculpted and could be an excellent basic painting test.
มันเป็นโมเดลที่เพ้นสนุกนะ แต่ตัวโมเดลก็ดูจืดๆ หน่อย ถ้าเทียบกับโมเดล KDM ตัวอื่นๆ
Well he is quite fun to paint with. But in the end I think he’s a bit pale compare to other KDM model.
การเพ้นตัวนี้ค่อนข้างตรงไปตรงมา ไม่ค่อยมีอะไรให้เขียนถึงเท่าไหร จุดที่คิดว่ายังทำได้ไม่ดีมากก็สีเสื้อ ที่เสื้อโค้ทอยากจะให้ดูคล้ายๆ ผ้ายีน แต่ก็ทำออกมายังไม่เหมือน เลยแก้สีใหม่ไปเลย
รอบนี้ดวงตาไม่ได้เน้นมาก ตอนแรกก็คิดว่าจะลองทำนัยตาสีแดง อะไรแบบนี้ดู แต่พอใส่หมวกแล้ว หมวกแทบจะบังมิดเลย ถ้าไม่ก้มมองจากด้านล่าง เลยลงเป็นจุดดำพอละกัน
This is a straight painting. Start with skin and cloth then move to other small area. I want the cloth to look like jean cloth but not quite manage it.
This time I’m not caring his eye much. At first I thought if I want to paint his eye in red but his eye almost full cover by the hat. So I’m just giving him a black dot pupils.
Basing
ตัวฐานหนนี้ ไปได้ไอเดียจากที่คนอื่นทำ ไหนๆ ธีมของ Manhunter ก็เป็นมือประหารอยู่แล้ว ก็ทำแท่นประหารให้มันยืนด้วย
ตัวแท่นประหาร ก็ใช้เศษรันเนอร์เหลือๆ ของ Warhammer มาผ่าครึ่งให้เป็นแผ่นบางๆ แล้วใช้เหล็กขูดๆ ให้เป็นลายไม้ ฟังดูง่ายนิดเดียว แต่ก็เสียเวลาตอนนั่งผ่าทีละท่อนนะแหละ
ส่วนที่เป็นขาแท่นไม้ ก็ใช้เศษรันเนอร์เหมือนเดิม แต่เอามาเหลาให้เป็นแท่งสี่เหลี่ยมก่อนจะใช้เหล็กขูด
ก้อนหินด้านหน้า ที่วางเอาไว้ให้เป็นขั้นบันได จริงเป็นเปลือกไม้แห้ง พอพ่นรองพื้นแล้วทาสีใหม่ก็กลายเป็นก้อนหินไป
จะว่าไปนี่ก็เป็นครั้งแรกที่ลองทำฐานในโทนสีอื่นนอกจาก ดำ เทา
Here the fun part. I take this idea from other painter. Making a execution platform to match his theme.
The platform is made of left over GW sprue. They are cut it half to create wooden planks. Sound easy but it quite take time to cut it each one.
For the platform leg, also made with left over sprur but this time they are trimmed in to square shape to create wooden logs.
The stone on the front is actually a wooden bark. Primed and painted into rock.
By the way, I think this is the first time I paint base in green, yellowish color. Normally I do only grey, back base.
